Nikon Imaging Center Microscopy Course: Live Imaging in 3D

After a one-year pause, the Nikon Imaging Center is offering a microscopy course again. Registration is now open for our annual course "Live Imaging in 3D" which will take place October 9-13, 2017.

This course aims at PhD, master students and Post-Docs who already have some experience with fluorescence light microscopy and want to complement their practical experience with more background and theory. In 5 morning sessions, lectures will cover different areas and application of light microscopy (see attached flyer for a list of topics).

We warmly recommend the theory part of the course to students who already have practical experience (e.g. as users of our facility), but want to get theoretical background and learn about other techniques. Please feel free to forward this message to colleagues.

In the afternoon, practicals for a limited number of students will take place. For organisational reasons, we can only accommodate 12 students for the practicals, who will be selected based on their applications.

Registration is mandatory, all details on how to register can be found on our website:

Registration closes September 10, 2017
