William J. Godinez received the Thomas Gessmann PhD Prize 2014

The Thomas Gessmann PhD Prize is awarded for outstanding dissertations in technical fields and is endowed with 10 000 EUR. William J. Godinez, who did his PhD within the BMCV group and is now PostDoc there, received the Thomas Gessmann Prize 2014 for his PhD dissertation in Computer Science on probabilistic particle tracking. He was nominated by the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Heidelberg. The prize was awarded by the Chairman of the Thomas Gessmann Foundation, Gerhard Häußermann, in the presence of the Rector of the University of Heidelberg, Prof. Dr. Bernhard Eitel,during a ceremony at the Alte Universität on November 6 in Heidelberg.
