Project QuantVessel at Deutsche Bundestag (German Parliament)

The research project QuantVessel of the BMCV group is presented at an exhibition of the German Research Foundation (DFG) at Deutsche Bundestag (German Federal Parliament) from 6-30 March 2012. The exhibition features ten outstanding scientific projects, which were selected from about 20.000 projects from all scientific fields the DFG funds annually.

The exhibition was opened on March 6 by the President of the Bundestag, Prof. Dr. Norbert Lammert, and the President of the DFG, Prof. Dr. Matthias Kleiner, and will be shown at the Paul-Löbe-Haus in Berlin until the end of March. Afterwards, the exhibition will be presented for 1-2 years in other German cities.

Within the project QuantVessel innovative model-based approaches are developed for accurate quantification of the 3D morphology of human blood vessels from 3D tomographic image data (e.g., 3D CTA, 3D MRA).
