Modeling of Biological Processes

The department of "Modeling of Biological Processes" belongs to the Heidelberg Institute of Zoology and is located in BIOQUANT.  The main focus of our research is the development of computational methods to model, simulate and analyze biochemical processes, as well as the application of these methods to specific problems, e.g. calcium signal transduction and the metabolism of leukocytes.

The department was established in 2007 and is funded by the Klaus Tschira Foundation.
