Advanced Biological Screening Facility

From Innovation to Collaboration

The CellNetworks Advanced Biological Screening Facility has been established in 2007 as one of the first CellNetworks Core Facilities and is located at BioQuant. The facility is well-equipped with state-of-the art high-content screening instruments along with long-term experience in the field of microscopy-based gene perturbance screenings.

With support of the Advanced Biological Screening Facility customers can carry out research projects including medium and large-scale screens, e.g. genome-wide RNAi and CRSPR-based. The facility offers customers the infrastructure and support in screening assay development, automated sample preparation and high-throughput solid phase transfection with siRNAs and gRNAs on well plates or cell arrays. In addition, the facility provides access to automated pipetting robots and high-throughput microscopy platforms and helps to set up the conditions, which are suitable for automated data evaluation.
